Corruption- a threat to the basic structure of our Constitution

The spread of corruption in the body politic of our country has witnessed an unusual rise in recent past and instances of unashamed and blatant corruption in the conduct of CWG and also in the distribution of 2G spectrum have come into sharp public focus. The dimensions of corruption in these alleged cases are mind boggling and it seems that the whole scheme of the constitution makers ensuring equitable opportunities to all the citizens of the country is likely to be permanently derailed and there is likely to be concentration of all wealth in few hands.
The poor are the worst hit as their income is shrinking further and the cost of living and upkeep is increasing in proportion  to the income level of the corrupt. The cost of bare minimum housing and health care is so high that it is unaffordable forcing the poor to live under he sky and to embrace death in case of an affliction with a serious disease requiring expert medical attention.
The repercussions of unhindered and almost patronized corruption are showing their ugly face and the foundations of our republic are in danger .The feeble voices against corruption in isolation have not yielded any tangible result and the evil is spreading like a wild fire .
It is the time , therefore, for all the apolitical and saner elements to come together and pool the resources to combat this demon lest we all fall prey sitting like pigeons with eyes and ears shut to the tremors in our immediate environment.
